A Starter Project for Scratch! Includes Instructions For Remixing.

Want a fun project to work on with your students? This project is a great "scaffold" so beginners can create games with more advanced scripts.

Scripts include: cloning, broadcasting, sensing, and lots of others!

Instructions:
Click the green flag to start the program.
Press the space bar to make the hippo fly.
Try to collect the heart candies for points.

I hate losing video games, and I don't play them often so I made the game easy, but you can make it harder when you remix it.

To remix: click the SCRATCH logo in the upper right corner of the project to go to the project page. Click the "See Inside" button.

I created this project so that my beginning Scratch students could make a more advanced game of their own by remixing mine and customizing it. You can see a couple of examples of projects that the kids have made in the lower right of the page.

Please let me know if you use it with your students or if you remix it on your own. I can post the best examples here!
